The other day I was talking with a coworker, and she asked me if I would show up at her dance party and actually dance if she had one. I was appalled she would even ask such a question, I mean does she even know me? Hahaha, seriously though, of course I would! I dance more than I walk.

So this piqued her interest and she asked me what my favorite songs to dance to are, I had to think about that one. I told her there isn’t really one song in particular that comes to mind that makes me want to dance. I like dancing to music that makes me feel, the kind of music that I find my hips instinctively swaying to.

She looked at me like I had three heads. She had no idea what I was talking about. I mean no offense to any of you who feel the way that she does, nor do I mean any offense to her, but I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that there are people out there who can’t feel music. She went on to say that music inflicts no emotion in her, where I have literally had to pull my car over to the side of the road because a song as moved me to tears or stole my breath,

Anyway, she really got me thinking about the songs I love to dance to, so I’ve been listening to music and dancing around my house all weekend. And I’ve determined that I love dancing to a dirty sounding blues guitar, upbeat reggae, and a few songs in between! I thought I would share a few of those songs with you.

 

There are many more songs I love to dance to, but I’ll stop here.
