November

november.jpg

Today looks like how I imagine

God wants us to live

and feel –

pure and shimmering

wild and free

November here is more lyric than leaves

or snow

or cold

Where is here, you ask?

take I-68 and follow it

to the wide open roads

with big shoulders

big enough to carry heavy loads

and nothing at all

follow the road that will take you

to the place you didn’t know you longed for

Where clear blue November skies

meet frosted glass tides

and smoke gathers on

snow covered mountains

a polar vortex

of prismatic art
