Blogger Award
My friend B.W. over at GETTING THROUGH ANXIETY nominated me for this wonderful blog award. If you haven’t already, I recommend you check out B.W.’s blog – she’s kind, passionate, and an amazing writer! Okoto Enigma created this award originally.

3 Things About Myself:
1.) I am obsessed with sunsets/sunrises & stargazing.
2.) My birthday is this Saturday (November 12th)
3.) I have watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade every year since 1984 (the year I was born) I may not remember them from that long ago, but I have never missed it. I’m looking forward to seeing what the parade has in store for us this year.
The Questions (these are for my nominees as well. They’re really good!)
Have you had a crush on your teacher as a teenager?
Yes, I thought my history teacher in 10th grade was so dreamy! 🙂
If you had the power to change one thing in your past, what would that be?
I would have picked a different maid of honor. 😦 One that would have been more understanding of how stressed as I was, and would have stood beside me instead of with a backstabbing bridesmaid. Oh well, live & learn, right?!
Which country is your next dream vacation, and what made you want to go there?
I have to agree with B.W on this one, Italy! I love Italian food! Cheese, wine, bread, pesto, pasta…I love it all! I watched Under The Tuscan Sun, and I was instantly taken by the gorgeous scenery. Tuscany is so beautiful and so romantic. I am a hopeless romantic, so of course, I was instantly drawn to it.
Do you think it is okay to keep secrets even between best friends?
Yes, as long as they’re not harmful.
If you could be transformed into something else, what would be your preference, and why?
It’s a tie between a bird & a dolphin.
A bird, because I think they’re such amazing little creatures, and I think having the ability to fly freely through the air would be an amazing experience.
A dolphin, because they are so intelligent, beautiful, and I absolutely love to swim!
I Nominate…
Great answers and thanks for the shout out!

Thanks! I love talking to you too! A little better, thanks. Still kind of stuffy, but not as sore and run down. How about you?

For Thanksgiving Neil’s grandma is coming from Baltimore to spend the holiday with us. We will also have my dad over. This will only be the 2nd time since we’ve been married that we will host Thanksgiving at our house. The Saturday after, we are taking his grandma back home to Baltimore, and will stay overnight. We have all kinds of things planned between Thanksgiving and Christmas! Cookie baking day with friends, making Christmas cards, homemade hot chocolate, and listening to Christmas carols, getting together with friends and maybe a couple cousins to make wassail and watch Christmas movies. I’m looking forward to all of it! What about you?

That sounds exciting! I hope you have a great holiday! We go to my grandpa’s for snacks and then to my uncle’s for dinner on Thanksgiving. I always want to watch the dog show but the football game is always on which kind of sucks.
For Christmas, we go to my grandpa’s! I love putting up the tree though around Thanksgiving! I get really into it!

Yes! I always put up our Christmas decorations the day or weekend after Thanksgiving. I usually start making my Christmas cards around then too! I LOVE this time of year! I promised my mom that if she passed away around the holidays that I would still celebrate it in a big way the way I always have. It’s going to be super hard because she passed away on Dec 26th, but I’m doing my best not to break my promise, and to honor her! I’m thinking about having a few people over for a balloon release on the 26th.

That’s AWESOME! I’m so sorry that she passed away then though. I know it can be hard losing someone, especially around the holidays. I know your mom would want you to enjoy yourself.

Yes, and she LOVED Christmas. So what better time for her to go?! It’s sad, but also joyous! I’m sad because I have to live my life without her, but I’m unbelievably happy that she is no longer suffering, and gets to spend Christmas with Jesus this year!
