Please Stay Home!

Stay-Home-Stop-the-Spread-Save-Lives

I am tired of people not following CDC guidelines. How hard is it to just stay home? Non-essential businesses should be ashamed! People who refuse to listen should be ashamed! I am tired of people pointing fingers. Republicans are blaming Democrats, Democrats are blaming Republicans, and the people in between are bashing the entire government!! Now is not the time for politics. News flash people, there is more to life than just politics. We all need to set aside our differences, now is not the time to start pointing fingers and rebelling.

It it time for us to work together, it’s how we’re going to get through this, and the longer we don’t listen to the CDC, the longer this will go on. When they tell you they are trying to flatten the curve, they mean they are trying to slow the rapid progression of this virus so that hospitals can better accommodate the patients who need them. Which is why it’s so important to STAY HOME!!!!

I have a husband with a compromised immune system. Other than leaving my house for work (I’ll be teleworking soon) and the grocery store (which is minimal,) I stay home for him.

I have a father with a heart problem and a history of lymphoma. I stay home for him.

I have a cousin who is a CNA and is pulling 16 hour shifts, exposing herself on a daily basis to care for people who need her help. I stay home for her.

I have a cousin who is a truck driver, she puts herself at risk to ensure we can buy the essential items we need. I stay home for her.

Amanda has asthma, Christen has an autoimmune disorder, I myself have upper respiratory issues from multiple battles with bronchitis and sinusitis. I stay home for us.

I stay home for every first responder, doctor, nurse, CNA, anesthesiologist, surgeon, Pharmacist, Veterinarian, and lab tech. I stay home for my grandma and every other elderly person who is at risk. I stay home for every retail worker who puts themselves at risk to ensure we have access to groceries, over the counter medicine, and all of our other household essentials. I stay home for gas station employees. I stay home for every restaurant worker who prepares us food while still trying to maintain a business. I stay home for every road crew member, utility worker, and public service employee.

I stay home for anyone and everyone who is at risk of this virus, up to and including myself.

Please do the same!

Love & life lessons,

Kristian

Hugs, friend. I’m staying home as much as possible. The only time I’ve left (aside from going outside with the dogs) is to pick up more work from the office, and going straight home.

Good for you, Laura Beth! I had no doubts you were being responsible through all of this. A lot of people are complying, but those who aren’t are making it hard on all of us. Hugs!!

Sometimes I go for a walk outside for some fresh air but I keep my distance. I don’t go to stores unless it’s absolutely necessary, and the rest of the time I’m inside my apartment. I have compromised lungs b/c I am a carrier of the generic type of COPD which is a recessive disorder. My mom has severe COPD, genetic type so she doesn’t leave the house either. She lives in a different province.

Thank you so very much for this! I had to drop something off at a mailbox and I saw people everywhere, shopping, not grocery shopping. It made me so mad!

Yes, a bit of fresh air is good for body and soul. But, absolutely keep your distance. Things will get better – just hang on!

I share your angst with people who seem to be unable to think about others before there own selfish wants and needs. At times like these, there are always the few who could care less about the many. I try not to focus on it for fear I will become angry. It is my sincere hope that karma will step in and balance will be found. But most important, is that you are doing everything you can to protect your Hubby, family, and yourself. I want the world on the other side of this to have you and your words to keep its beauty flowing. Thinking of you! ❤

Aww, thanks Brad! I’m working from home starting today. There’s been an 3 cases confirmed in the county I live in. I work at a nonprofit, so I understand the CEO’s desire to stay open, although; I wouldn’t call us essential, but I’m glad he’s allowing me to work from home. 😊 stay safe & be well, my friend. ❤

I am happy to hear you have arranged working from home. Regardless of how essential your services may be, it is good that you can continue to have income as this virus continues. Plus you do not have to worry about your husband home all alone. Working from home may become much more prevalent after this is over. I am happy, because you are safer at home. I am in lock down, so don’t you worry about me. I have always been a survivor! ❤ Much love always!

  8. I went to a store yesterday and a lady was handing out hugs to make a statement that this isn’t a big deal. Crazy.

Perfectly said Kristian! It’s mind blowing how many people are disregarding the guidelines! This situation we’re in can improve if everyone could just be considerate and act responsibly.

Exactly! I know there’s a lot of good people in the world doing all they can, but it’s hard not to feel disappointment from those who aren’t.

Totally understand! The ones who are not being careful stand out and are hard to ignore! It’s already so easy for this virus to spread because of how contagious it is, and the people who are being irresponsible are making even easier.
