You Have Always Been Mine

Colourful-Lovers-art-by-RMH-ART-

You have changed me

so quickly

so unexpectedly

like the sun saying hello

in the middle of a thunderstorm

and here I am

still wandering

in the rain

as I always have

a clumsy woman

who is home

to all of the voices

the universe has forgotten

so don’t be afraid

of this storm inside of me

for it is your sun

that calms it

and I need your “hello”

I will hold your voice

in my sleeve

so when it is your storm

that is raging

I will place my hand

upon your heart

and place your voice back

from where it came

and show you

that I am not like the universe

I have not forgotten

how could I ever forget?

For I have known all along

you have always been mine

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

A beautiful depiction of devout love and appreciation, Kristian! I love the sense that the love we give returns to us when we need it the most. Love, on our darkest days, shines even that much brighter. Great post and Happy Valentine’s to both of you! πŸ’

How wonderful it is that you write it and then sing it lovingly to your love… simply beautiful
