How can just words

have me coming undone

But yours are the fire

at the tip of your tongue

 

Come over me

I want to feel your heat

can you feel me writhing

beneath this sheet

 

I didn’t understand magic

until your words sunk in

passing through your fingers

seeping into my skin

 

I know that you feel it

this magic between us

the questions and answers

both of us curious

 

I think our souls

met lifetimes ago

made love in the cosmos

creating stars to bestow

 

I know there are times

you are afraid to be bold,

but my dear, you are fire

and I have always been cold
