Friday Fictioneers #2 – Black Raspberry Bliss

Lorraine relished in the cold, creamy substance that was currently invading her mouth. It had been a long while since she had allowed herself to indulge in her favorite dessert, and as the delicious taste of black raspberry slid down her throat, her melancholy mood was instantly lifted.

“Just like being reacquainted with an old friend,” she said to the Haagen Dazs container. She sat cross-legged on the sofa, nestled under her “Snoopy” blanket, watching the rain continue to pelt against the window. Maybe the next rain would ruin her mood, but not this time!
