Nourishment and Time

I was a baby when I fell in love with October-

Colorful leaves & pumpkins,

crisp air & Oktoberfest-

In a very special place,

in a very special town.

It was in this parking lot,

in that same special town-

where I met a boy-

and fell in love with that boy

who listened to me talk for HOURS.

Who made me laugh,

who made me “world famous” spaghetti,

and knew every language but Greek.

We started our relationship on a hardship-

but then we turned an old, run down house into a home.

Such odd and wonderful things-

Nourishment & Time.

But, oh baby!

such bliss,

when you let them unfurl.
