I can’t wait till my week with Christen when we can be our completely goofy selves & take silly selfies like this one!!

Yay!! It’s finally the end of the work week. This has been an extremely long & frustrating week! We’re going to be hiring someone new for our department, it’s been one headache after another, and I just keep reminding myself “This too shall pass.” It might pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass!

1. Life is Beautiful by Keb’ Mo’

This song popped up on the “Discover Weekly,” playlist on Spotify, & I instantly fell in love!

2. Shimmer by Shawn Mullins

I forgot how much I love Shawn Mullins voice. As a teenager I loved “Lullaby,” & I heard it recently, so I looked him up on Spotify, & I’ve been listening to this song all week!

3. Gimme That Girl by Joe Nichols

I have loved Joe Nichols for years now, & there’s a line in this song that makes me smile every time I hear it, because it reminds me so much of myself!!

“Barefoot in the kitchen, singing her favorite song. Dancing around like a fool, starring in her own little show.”

4. New Light by John Mayer

I absolutely love John Mayer! He is often on my repeat playlist’s!!

5. Is This Love by Bob Marley

I dearly love Bob Marley’s music. I find myself listening to him a lot when I cook or when I’m hanging out with Amanda. This song has always done wonders for my soul!

Summer Camp! It’s a virtual camp through a pen pal site (Geek Girls Pen Pals) that I joined a few years ago. I am participating in a few activities, and being as interactive as I can with work and such, but I’ve been enjoying myself. I love to craft!!

Pen Pal crafts!! I have been lacking on sending fun snail mail to my pen pals, but I am currently in the process of making some very fun crafts to send them, & it is kinda ridiculous how happy this makes me!!

Going through old photographs. I love looking back on old photos & reminiscing! It makes me so happy, leaves me feeling nostalgic, & either laughing or crying at the memories.

Random Loves/Things That Make Me Happy/ Things I’m Grateful For:

 London Fogs! There’s just something about this drink that brings me so much comfort! It’s my favorite!!

Friendships! I am a lucky gal! I have some of the best friends in the world! And I know a lot of people say that, but I truly do!! I am blessed beyond measure!! I have friends that check in on me often, who read between my lines, & know me better than I know myself.

Music! I don’t think I could live without it!!

Puppies & kittens!! So many people have been bringing their pets into work & I get to play with them!! It really brightens my day!!

Laughter!! It really is the best medicine. I love to laugh!!

Funny:

Neil and I discovered this last night & I could not stop laughing. It really doesn’t take much to amuse me!!

 

I saw this meme on my friend Christen’s Instagram this morning, & I actually snorted laughing! Oh my gosh, I’m still dying!! Bahaha!!
