I was going to wait until Wednesday to share these sunset pictures with you, but John inspired me to share them today.
I have always been obsessed with sunsets and sunrises. One of my favorite things in the entire world is to walk just as the sun is setting, I can take my time & get lost in a sky of beautiful colors. There are times, especially after a storm when the sky is dark, & the clouds are full, & the colors of the sun just streak across the sky. It steals by breath & I can’t help but stand in awesome wonder.
There are things that I will never tire of, & sunsets are one of them. It doesn’t matter how many sunsets I see, I still find myself running to my dinning room window every evening to see how marvelous the sunset is. Sometimes, before the sun even starts to set, I can just tell it’s going to be one of those breathtaking sunsets filled with so much color, & I try to walk to the cemetery to watch the sunset behind the mountains, and if I don’t catch it in time or it’s not full of color, I will still stand at my dinning room window and watch until the sun fades into night. There’s just something about sunsets.
This last sunset I took gave me chills, and I am still in awe of the beautiful colors & cloud formations. This one was after a storm, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
And John, I hope this inspires you to write something beautiful, as you always do!
This first picture is just some stormy clouds that were forming over the mountain. This is the view from my front porch, another thing I will never tire of!
This next picture is the sky over my neighbor’s trees. It was so pretty, I had to capture it.
And finally, the sunset pictures at the cemetery.
One thing I love about sunsets is the longer you watch, the prettier they become.
Love & life lessons,
Kristian
These are gorgeous even on my pathetic laptop! I cannot imagine how breathtaking they were in person!

And then there are new sunsets for you waiting to write some day when you are in a mood 🙂 I am sure those colors, sky as a canvas and the memories (good or bad) you carry, will bring out a masterpiece.

I think that’s it. In that moment, I’m so lost in the majestic beauty of it all, It’s the one time my mind is quiet. I think I try to bask in that glorious silence as long as I can, but I really should go through my collection of pictures, I’m sure it will spark something. Maybe I should look for other poets who have written about sunsets, not to copy, but sometimes poetry sparks my own creativity!!

Marvelous sunsets Kristian, remind me an awful lot of some of the Malaysian ones l used to see as a child. In the UK we rarely see decent sunsets.

Thank you! Yes, this particular sunset took my breath away. I took SO many pictures of it. It took me hours to go through & select the best ones! Many of them were the same, just brighter or duller colors depending on the angle.

If you’re like me, it’s hard to delete all the pictures you don’t use….keep them coming! They are awesome!

Yes, I usually save them in another folder, just in case. Unless it’s really blurry or just a bad picture.

That’s me. I do delete the blurry ones for sure, but I have way too many pics of the same scene. 🤦🏼♀️
