Friday Favorites #11

Happy Friday, Beautiful Souls!!

By the time you read this, I will be on the road to Baltimore!! I decided to go ahead and write this post early so I didn’t have to worry about it at the hotel.

Neil and I are spending the weekend in Baltimore, attending a friend’s house warming party, visiting some cousins, and (hopefully) playing Cards Against Humanity!! I’m so excited!!

This week has went fairly well, I ended up getting into a respectful argument with my boss, & the head of IT (the one that thinks women belong in the kitchen,) keeps bringing his idiotic ideas to the table, and when anyone (including the CEO) suggests an easier or more intelligent way he either sulks like a baby or tries to take credit for the idea. I just have no patience for people like him. And if my boss yells my name only for me to walk in her office to find out she needs nothing I am going to lose my mind!!!!!

On the plus side, I got to play with puppies and express my creativity by making flyers and beautiful spreadsheets!! 🙂

1. Give A Little by Maggie Rogers

I wrote a few days ago about my new found love for Maggie Rogers. I just can’t get enough of her!!

2. Can You Take Me High Enough by Damn Yankees

Oh, the 90’s! The glorious 90’s!! I woke up one morning this week with these lyrics in my head, and I have no idea why because I hadn’t heard this song in ages, but here I am, singing it at the top of my lungs!

3. Neon Moon by Brooks & Dunn

I only like SOME country music. Brooks & Dunn, however; are one of my favorites!!

4. Am I The One by Beth Hart

I first discovered Beth Hart while adding some Joe Bonamassa to my playlist. The man’s guitar playing skills are on point. I found Beth Hart singing in quite a few of his the songs he plays, and I fell in love with her soulful voice. Her voice mixed with Joe’s guitar just does it for me.

 5. On + Off by Maggie Rogers

I find myself singing this song multiple times throughout the day. It’s just so catchy!

I bet she had so much fun making this music video. I want to skip around a room wearing whatever she’s wearing, a parachute? And stand in front of a fan & sing & dance around like a fool. Oh, wait… I already do that, sans parachute, of course!

Highlights Of The Week:

Nerding out over Doctor Strange. Doctor Strange is my favorite superhero, and I love it when I meet fellow fans and we can geek out together! I am so stoked for the next movie and I am trying my hardest to patiently wait for the trailer!! I cannot wait!!

Cookie baking with Amanda! I always love our time together, baking, dancing, & being our complete selves.

Finding out that Metallica & The San Francisco  Symphony Orchestra (SFSO) are releasing their second concert in theaters this coming October!! If you haven’t seen the first concert, you should. It’s so good!! The album is called S&M, & you can guarantee I’ll be be purchasing S&M2.

London fog cookies!! The drink is my absolute favorite, & now the cookies are too!! I love baking, & it makes me so happy to have my oven on again!!

Finding books! I have added so many books to my Amazon wish list!!

Random Loves/Things That Make Me Happy/ Things I’m Grateful For:

 These dancing/strutting goats. The first video I saw on Facebook had the goats dancing to “Play That Funky Music White Boy,” and I laughed so hard the first time I saw it, but I couldn’t find a shareable version, so this one will have to do:

 Space, galaxies, & astronomy. I love it & find it absolutely fascinating.

I think I have a bit of an obsession. I caught this one a few nights ago. I love the clouds.  Grandma said they reminded her of Stonehenge. I’ll be sharing more at a later time, but I just couldn’t wait!!

Funny:

One of my favorite comedies is Anchorman. The guys from the movie made their own soundtrack, along with music videos!! This one is my favorite, and you have to watch it all the way to the end! The first time I heard “Dirty Ruben love,” I laughed so hard!
