I have spent the majority of my weekend writing. I wrote letters to pen pals, I’ve written numerous poems, some I am saving for later days.
I shared two poems on Instagram, and I thought I would share them with you. ❤
I bake because I care.
I understand the importance of balance & a healthy lifestyle.
Carbs aren’t bad, in moderation.
Life is too short –
to not have cookies,
or rainbow sprinkles.
The world is bitter –
so I will continue to spread sweetness.
One cookie at a time
Something About Hanging Baskets
There’s something about hanging baskets….
Maybe it’s the Mother’s Day tradition,
maybe it’s the flower itself,
as you were always just as bright, & beautiful, & delicate.
The reasons don’t really matter.
It’s a reminder that you’re still with me.
There are so many reminders –
the sound of geese, the smell of freshly cut grass,
& whenever I bite into a peanut butter cookie.
There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you.
Your love for so many things left a great impact.
I carry that same love for so many things inside of me.
It’s a comfort –
to know that when I’m no longer here,
I’ll too leave so many reminders for those I leave behind.
I miss you mom!
