Every month I participate in Didi’s writing prompt where she gives us a scenario and she asks us to use the characters from our current WIP for said prompt. Well, she isn’t doing a prompt for the month of June, so I decided to incorporate them in the prompt from Nova!
I usually use Michael and Cara for these prompts, but this time I’ve decided to go with my latest couple, Jared and Angela!
I was nominated for this challenge by Kristian, author of Tales From The Mind of Kristian.
You can read the original post where I was nominated here:

Without further ado, I give you my contribution:
Love At The State Fair
When I told Jared that I had never been to a state fair you would have thought I told him I just committed a murder by his reaction. He immediately grabbed his phone and ordered tickets to the Washington State fair.
His childlike excitement left me feeling stoked for weeks until the day finally came! I wasn’t sure if he was more excited for the actual event or that he got to experience one of my firsts with me. A rarity for someone in her late forties.
I had never witnessed anything quite like that fair, there was so much happening all at once! Bon Jovi was playing on a stage, there were boat races, rides, games, numerous food vendors, hot air balloon rides, car shows, multiple craft vendors, and so much more! It was a lot to take in and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do first.
Jared held my hand the entire day, and I felt just like a teenager! He won me a stuffed elephant, we stuffed our faces at the German festival and beer garden, and of course I also had to have a funnel cake. We grasped every opportunity to dance around like fools, we took numerous pictures, rode a few rides, and Jared, although he is afraid of heights, went with me in an air balloon ride. It was so exciting to see the views of the mountains and city from the sky!!
We arrived at the fair early in the morning and we didn’t leave until closing time. We both left with our arms full of stuffed animals, cotton candy, balloons, and souvenirs. We were completely and utterly exhausted, but it was so worth it, and I just kept falling harder and harder for the man.
Jared and I took many pictures that day, and I look at them every time I long to be close to him. We both have big smiles on our faces in every single photograph. I miss him so much.

It’s completely fiction. The story is being told from my main Character’s point of view, but I appreciate the comment. 😊
