Romantic Movies-Day 5

Welcome back!

Day 5

Casablanca

v1.jpg

This is one of my all time favorite movies. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there’s something about Humphrey Bogart that I find incredibly charming, especially dressed the way he is, looking so dapper. I’m such a sucker for that look, one of the few ways where I am like most women.

This movie has so many great quotes.

“Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.”

The acting is so good in this movie & it’s one I will always watch when it airs on TCM. I own the movie too, & I find myself wanting to watch it on rainy days or when I start to feel lost or alone.

I know I recommend a lot of movies, but this one is a MUST see!

What are your thoughts?

Love & life lessons,

Kristian

  4. It was on the telly the other day and it was the first time I managed to watch it all the way through from beginning to end. I very much liked the ambiguity of the characters Rick and also the Police Cheif Renault. Great film.
One of my favourite films, that also has Claude Raines (who played Renault) in it is Now, Voyager. It has a romance element but I think the best romance element is the main character, played by Bette Davis, who learns to love herself.

I watched this for the first time in my high school history class. My teacher, Mrs. Cofield, showed it to all of her classes. But, most of us, as juniors, had never seen it! To say she was floored and flabbergasted was an understatement. I’ve seen it several more times since then.
