For as far back as I can remember I have loved the song “Stand By Me,” by Ben E. King. It’s one of my favorite love songs. It was also the first song I ever sang at karaoke.
A few days ago Weezer released their “Teal Album,” which is nothing but covers, but I really, really like it. I really recommend you check it out. One of the songs on this album is, you guessed it, “Stand By Me.”

I’m really harsh on covers. Very few I like… 311’s cover of Love Song is good and REO Speedwagon’s cover of Riding The Storm Out are about the best…

Sorry pal. Metallica are not the underlings. Lol. Bob’s lyrics are good, but that’s about it. Metallica made it their own, just like Johnny Cash did with Hurt. 😁

It’s not hard to own a Trent Reznor song….
Turn The Page was influenced and written in a time when as Bob said “the sweat comes from your body like the music that you play.” It was a totalitarian experience. Not a hard rock cool cover of a cool 70’s song… Tis true.. 😊

I disagree. Metallica did that song more justice. Made it more powerful & soulful. I think it would be best if you just stopped talking now. 😂😂😂
