Holiday Drinks - Wide Open Eats

holiday drinks book tag

Laura Beth tagged me for another fun book tag! You can read her post below:

Hot Chocolate: Marshmallows and chocolate and whipped cream, oh my! Recommend a book that’s sweet through and through.

Sams Letters To Jennifer by James Patterson

This book is so sweet, it moved me to tears! Excellent Work by James Patterson!

Peppermint Mocha: The flavor of peppermint is strong and distinct. Recommend a book with a lot of strong emotions.

mockingbird

To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

I think I mention this book in every single book tag, but it is one of my all time favorites, and it did take me on an emotional roller coaster ride. I laughed, cried, and a particular part made me angry. If you’ve read the book, you’ll know which part I’m referring to, and if you haven’t read it I don’t want to spoil it, just trust me, go read the book!!

Apple Cider: It’s so good it can’t be good for you, but it’s from apples – That means it’s healthy, right? Recommend a book full of characters with questionable morals.

lies

The Lies of Locke Lamora

I actually haven’t read this book, but it’s on my TBR list. I’ve read a lot about it, and the one thing I see the most is that the morality of the protagonist is highly questionable. This book instantly came to mind.

Eggnog: It’s creamy and smooth, with a little spice, and some people even add alcohol to it. Recommend a book that’s mostly fun, with just a hint of danger.

Safe Haven, Nicholas Sparks.

This is one of Sparks’ books where I truly felt scared several times for the main character. No spoilers, but it was certainly intense for an author who has traditionally written sweet romance novels. <— I Completely agree with Laura Beth for this one!!

Gingerbread Latte: A drink with a veritable explosion of spices. Recommend a book with a lot of action.

farenheit

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

Such a good read!! I admire authors who write action so well. It’s one area I struggle with.

Thanks again for the tag, Laura Beth!! I have so much fun with these!!

Feel free to participate if you’d like! 🙂

Love & life lessons,

Kristian
