Welcome back!!
If you didn’t know, I attended a Metallica concert last night. You can look forward to a post on that when I get back home. It’s much easier to type longer posts on my laptop. Then I’ll take a break from it. I’m sure a lot of you are tired of hearing about it, because that’s all I’ve talked about for the past two days. I’m just so excited!! Last night right before they took the stage I became so overwhelmed with excitement that I started shaking!! It was a very emotional experience, & I can’t wait to tell all of you about it!
Anyway, back to horror. Let’s just get right into it…
Day 18:
Frank Darabont’s The Mist (2007)
This movie was eerie, but I really don’t like insects so I’m sure that heightened my fright. *Spoiler Alert* I feel sort of bad saying this, but I found myself hoping that the overly religious lady in the grocery store would be killed off because she was so annoying. I wasn’t the only one. The people in the movie theater actually applauded!
The end of the movie…. wow!! A lot of people referred to the ending as “classic King,” but the book ended much differently.
I saw this movie with a friend who lives an hour away & she had to drive home after the movie. This wouldn’t have been bad, but the sun had just set & it was extremely foggy. We both held onto each other as we walked back to our cars. Lol!! We were truly terrified! She made me talk to her on the phone for the entire trip back to her home! It was a good movie though. I recommend it if you haven’t seen it.
Day 19:
Tod Browning’s Dracula (1931)
I love these old, cheesy, black & white, horror movies! I always have. It was this movie that started my love of horror/vampires.
Have you seen The Mist or Dracula? What are your thoughts?
Love & life lessons,
Kristian
I had a similar experience driving through fog after my friend and I watched it in a video one night… to say I was terrified is the understatement of the year. My heart was pounding and I was in a state of almost hysteria I was so scared!!

It’s really surreal! I was waiting for the big “bugs” to get me! Every noise I was like “This is it, this is how I die.” Lol!!
