Kristian’s World of Horror – Day 2

Welcome back!

I’m not sure if it’s because it was late at night, I was home alone, or because it was during a thunder storm, but today’s pick really creeped me out!

F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu (1922)

I know people my age who refuse to watch a movie that is not in color. I’m here to tell you, those people really don’t know what they’re missing!

I will admit, I wasn’t sure how scary this would actually be, considering it was a silent film, but if anything, it only added to the creepiness. This movie wasn’t nightmare inducing scary, however; it did have me hanging off the edge of me seat at some parts, and it even startled me in others. It did a great job of pulling me in, and is probably the greatest horror movie of it’s time, not of all time, but for its time, sure!

I recommend it.

Have you watched Nosferatu? What are your thoughts? Is there another horror movie you would like to mention, specifically a classic?

Love & life lessons,

  3. I am a fan of black and white films. They often have a greater emphasis on the story and the acting than modern films that are all about explosions and special effects.
