Random Thought #3 – If You Like Horror Movies

Happy Sunday, Folks!!

Despite what the calendar says, it is officially fall! Cold, rain pelts against my living room windows as I sit here, a little chilled from the fall like chill in the air. I’m wearing my favorite hoodie, given to me by my grandma for my birthday last year. The front has the anti-possession symbol

And it says, “Saving people, Hunting Things, Est. 1983,” but my favorite is the back which reads “Winchester 79” for my beloved, Dean!

I’m cozy beneath my flannel blanket as I write this blog post with my beloved, Steelers playing in the background! Hooray, football!!!

Do you Like Horror Movies?

If so, let me suggest one: “Hereditary.“Don’t worry, I’m not going to give away any spoilers.

First of all, let me talk about this house! I had to rewind the movie so I could actually focus on what the characters were saying, as I got lost in the beauty of this house the first time. It has so many patterns, every corner is a work of art, and every time you look at it, you notice something new. It’s Victorian, meets geometric shapes, meets bohemian style, its bright colors and dark wood pull the house together, and not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it has a homey feel to it. It is now my dream home!!

As far as the movie goes, I do love horror movies, but most of the time I find the plots cheesy, or the endings are lame. Sometimes, that’s okay though, it can make horror movies fun. This movie, however, took me on a very emotional roller coaster, I even cried for the mom at one point during the movie. I felt empathy for all of the parties involved, I can’t tell you the number of times I threw my hands into my hair, grasping on as if it could bring me some form of protection, or I covered my mouth in complete and utter shock!!

It’s a spell binding thriller with great cinematography, mind trickery, realistic scenes, phenomenal acting, and excellent writing!!

The ending wasn’t quite what I was hoping for, but it was a nice way to tie the story all together. All in all, I recommend it.

Put down your tablet, put down your phone, and give it your full attention.

Are you watching it?…………….

………………. Have you watched it, yet?………..

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Love & life lessons,

  1. I haven’t watched it but I need to! I love scary films as opposed to gory. I’m not a fan of slasher films but I love scary!
I’m a Giants fan, can we be friends across the barbed wire?!
It’s a cold, dingy, soul destroying day here too. I have a big chenille cardigan, fleecy jammies and a fluffy, fleecy blanket. I can’t believe the change and I’m NOT happy. Here comes the season of me moving like a sloth 🤬

Yeah, it’s not a slasher film, there is a little gore, but the story doesn’t revolve around it. It only adds to the creepy vibe.

Ha ha! Of course we can, friendly rivalry, only! 🙂
I do love fall, but I was looking forward to warm days and cooler nights. I’m not ready to put my flip flops away yet!!

Cheers, from a fellow cold-inducing sloth moving, horror fan!
