In my first post for this award I talked about the things I like to do to share kindness with the world, if you’re interested, you can read that post here.
Honestly, sometimes all it takes is a simple smile to make a strangers day. You have no idea what someone might be going through, and I know that I always appreciate a smile from a stranger.
Today though, I want to talk about an act of kindness that was recently shown to me, and this person is also who I am nominating for this award.
Jared and I have been blogging buddies for quite some time now. He is an exemplar of poetry. Seriously, this guy is the next Christopher Poindexter, he’s phenomenal!!
If you go to his page, (which I strongly encourage you to do, if you haven’t already,) and click on the link “Hello, My Name Is Jared,” You will find his inspiring story of how he has escaped death 4 times! He is not only an extremely talented writer, he’s an amazing human being who sheds some light in a world that is so dark.
My heart has been very heavy these past few days with bad news just reeling in, one right after the other, and it was really starting to weigh me down, so I reached out to a few friends for support, needing all of the encouragement and positive vibes I could get. Jared was one of them.
Jared’s response back to me was beyond anything I had expected! I’m not really sure what I was expecting, if anything, really, but his words were so encouraging and his sympathy was heartfelt. He is such a skilled writer, and I found his words to be heart-warming, and my spirit was instantly lifted.
I consider myself blessed beyond measure with friends who care about my well-being, and I have one of the biggest support groups known to man. A lot of you, here in the blogosphere are a part of that group, and I am very fortunate that Jared is one of them.
If you are not already following Jared, do yourself a favor and go spend some time on his page, reading his numerous poems and stories, specifically one about “Doug, the hornet!”
Thank you, Jared for your kind and encouraging words. Your compliments, support, and friendship mean the world to me!
Thank you once again to Michelle and Stuart for the nomination! I appreciate both the nomination and YOU immensely!!
